I could get it to work using WAMP on my pc but not on my Justhost website. browsing to the website/dfgallery everything validates except one line. Lots of people get this "Invalid cURL response. We expected 'true' from the url". There is no support on this just several competing fixes on the forum which worked for some people. You need to understand curl and .htaccess files and mod_rewrite - not too easy for a web newbie I had real problems installing DFGallery 2 on our webserver and so far I have failed.
